Top Picks for Diwali Gifts for Car Lovers
MotorBae: Car Culture Apparel Tied to the Car They Love
Range: ₹299 to ₹1,599 | Sizes: XS to XXL | Mostly unisexThe reason apparel works so well as a gift for car people is specificity. A generic car tee says "you like cars". A tee with a Toyota MR2 evolution sketch, a Camaro Z/28, a Ferrari F355 or a Hindustan Contessa says "I know which car you like". MotorBae splits its range by car culture, so you can shop the Japanese Division for the JDM fan, the European Division for the BMW and Porsche crowd, the American Division for muscle car people and the Indian Division for anyone who grew up with Indian classics.
It is also easy on the budget. There are dedicated price bands on the store, so you can buy for five people without guessing.

Autobahn Missiles: Acid Washed Hoodie₹1,599300 GSM · 4 coloursScale Model Cars
A die-cast model of the exact car they own or dream about is a classic for a reason. Check the scale: 1:64 models are pocket-sized and cheap, 1:43 sits nicely on a desk, and 1:18 models are display pieces with opening doors. Licensed models of popular Indian cars are harder to find than European ones, so start looking before the festive rush.
A Car Care Kit
Anyone who washes their own car will use a proper kit: two buckets, a pH-neutral shampoo, microfibre towels and a quick detailer. Pick a kit from a known car care brand rather than a generic combo pack, and leave out polishing compounds unless you know they machine polish. Our car accessories guide covers what actually gets used.
A Dashcam
Useful in Indian traffic, and something most drivers keep meaning to buy. Look for good night recording and a parking mode if they park on the street. Only buy this if they are comfortable with a wired install or you can arrange one.
A Track Day or Driving Experience
The most memorable car gift, and the most expensive. Track days at circuits like the Buddh International Circuit and Madras Motor Race Track run on specific dates, so check the calendar before you promise one as a Diwali surprise.

Gifts for Him and Gifts for Her
Most MotorBae tees are cut unisex, which makes them simple gifts for her as well as gifts for him. The product photos show the same pieces on men and women, so you can see how the fit falls before you buy.
For him, the safest route is the car culture he talks about most. JDM fans go to the Japanese Division, Formula 1 fans to the Motorsports Division, and anyone nostalgic about Indian classics to the Indian Division. If you want a full guide organised by personality and occasion, our gifts for him guide goes deeper. New to the JDM world? JDM Culture 101 explains the references.
Sizing, Returns and Ordering in Time for Diwali
- Not sure of the size? Oversized cuts are forgiving, so go with their usual size. Regular fit tees and the Camaro hoodie sit closer to the body, so do not size down; the Camaro hoodie page has a full chest and length chart.
- Size exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery on unworn pieces with tags, so a wrong size is fixable.
- Caps, hats and balaclavas cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, but they are one size, so this rarely matters.
- Order early. Festive weeks are the busiest time of year for every courier, so do not leave car gifts India-wide shipping to the last two days before Diwali.
Give the Car, Not Just a Car
The best petrolhead gifts in India this Diwali are the ones tied to a specific car or scene. MotorBae makes that easy at every budget, from a ₹299 balaclava to a ₹1,599 acid washed hoodie, with unisex fits that work for him and for her.
